The King County Subsection of the American Water Works Association (AWWA) is one of many locally organized subsets of the Pacific Northwest Section of the international American Water Works Association. The King County Subsection boundaries cover all of King County, Washington. The Subsection is located in the heart of beautiful Puget Sound and includes some of the region's largest cities, including Seattle and Bellevue. AWWA membership within the boundaries of the Subsection is currently at about 600 members.

The Subsection strives to provide both training opportunities for water system operators and informational programs for engineering and management. In addition, the Subsection holds an annual golf tournament to create an opportunity for fellow members to network and have fun.

Founded in 1881, the American Water Works Association (AWWA) is the largest and oldest association of drinking water professionals in the world. AWWA is an international non-profit scientific and educational society dedicated to the improvement of drinking water quality and supply. Its more than 50,000 members represent the full spectrum of the drinking water community: treatment plant operators and managers, scientists, environmentalists, manufacturers, academicians, regulators, and others who hold genuine interest in water supply and public health. Membership includes more than 4,000 utilities that supply water to roughly 180 million people in North America.
